Chapter 1 – Part 04 – EB Terran – Captains Log (What to do now)

Twangee worked his instruments to clean up the communication, was it something or did he want it to be something. Being in balance with all that exists, he needed to be sure. The voice returned and this time he could almost make out the words, it was something or someone alive in that ship! Then it happened…

Krang: Jenquai vessel, this is Krang of the Terran ship Mayfly 1, do you read?

Twangee: Yes Terran vessel, I can hear you. I am unable to lock onto your location in the ship, are your instruments working?

Krang: Barely, the computer has maintained minimal life support and contained the breaches for the time being. Let me turn off the dampening field, wasn’t sure if they were back.

Twangee: Whos back, the ones who did this? Who are they?

Krang: You really don’t want to know, but the people I help will not be happy with this! I’ve lost it all and let me tell you, it wasn’t cheap stuff. Not toys, food or communication arrays those others run… never mind!

Twangee: I did not mean imply…

Krang: I know Jenquai, your kind never does!

Twangee: Please, call me Twangee, I am captain of the Jenquai ship Star Runner, explorer class and what do you mean my kind?

Krang: No offense Jenquai, but emotions are not your strong suit. Did you say explorer class?

Twangee: None taken, yes, explorer class. Do you need help?

Krang: Yes, stay right there, let me check my instruments and you can get this bucket of bolts fired up for me! I had to shut everything down and the cold out here is keeping me from getting enough power to bring my warp engines online.

Twangee: Are you sure that would be safe? You ship appears to be in great need of work before such action might be safe.

Krang: This old girl? Nah, she’s been in worse shape. She’ll make it just fine, if I can just get this computer to wake up! Wake up you infernal machine!

Twangee: Perhaps I could transfer some power to your reactor and then you try. Powering for energy transfer, ready on your command.

Krang: Just hit me Jenquai, it’s cold in here! Go, now, ready!

Twangee: Power transfer underway.

The lights in Twangee’s ship begin to flicker and dim as the energy beam contacts the Terran vessel near the reactor. Sparks from the ship fill the area as power is restored. As lighting returns to the exterior of the ship, smoke can been seen coming from some of the holes that had been blasted into the ship.

With life coming back to the ship, the extent of the damage can be seen, but she is in one piece, of sorts. The instruments of Krang’s ship came to life, some much more robustly then others, some not at all. Eagerly Krang worked for the ability to warp, but while he did he deployed his hull patch bot in preparation for the trip. Forgetting things around him for a time while he worked to recover his ship and warp ability…

Computer: Sir, the Jenquai ship is requesting communications, shall I open a channel?

Krang: What? Oh yeah, guess he wants to get paid! Open a channel.

Computer: Channel open.

Krang: Yeah Jenquai, what do I owe you? How much is it gonna be?

Twangee: I simply want to know if you are all right, is your ship able to function?

Krang: Yes, my instruments could use some work and my reactor and engine are in a bad way, but I can manage. Say, you don’t happen to have an equipment repair bot with you do you?

Twangee: Such equipment is unnecessary on an explorer’s vessel, perhaps you would like me to contact a warrior to assist you?

Krang: NO wait, no communications! They might pick it up!

Twangee: They? The ones' who did this?

Krang: Are you sure you want to know? Would be better for you if you didn’t.

Twangee: Do you think you can make it to the gate to Freya sector? I could contact a warrior enroute to meet us there.

Krang: Yeah, sure, but have them meet us on Freya side, don’t want someone sneaking up on me again.

Twangee: As you request, setting course for Freya sector gate, will engage once you enter warp.

Krang: Wait! You are an Explorer right? Can’t you create a wormhole?

Twangee: Yes, I have that ability, but any cargo you have would be damaged in the energy field.

Krang: Dang it Jenquai, I just got robbed! You think I have cargo left to worry about, do you? Just get me to Swooping Eagle if you can, please.

Twangee: I am sorry, I did not mean to imply your loss did not occur, please forgive me. I will transport you to Swooping Eagle, one moment while I set my instruments.

Krang: I’m sorry too Jenquai, you don’t deserve to be treated that way. What did you say your name was again? And thanks for all the help.

Twangee: Wormhole to Swooping Eagle ready. As I said before, my name is Disciple Twangee. Helping others maintains balance. You have been attacked with such hate and only such kindness can restore order.

Krang: I should be so lucky to have friends like you around; ready for wormhole.

Twangee: Then you may call me friend. When the wormhole completes forming, follow me in.

Krang: Friend… I’d like that. Maybe I could return the favor sometime, just let me know.

Twangee: Your debt with me is none, but call on you that I may. Entering wormhole to Swooping Eagle, see you on the other side.

Krang: Yeah, see you on the other side.
